Williston draws people from many places and for many reasons—work, family, opportunity, or a fresh start. Life here can be rewarding and isolating at the same time. Found Lutheran is a local church committed to the people who call this place home.
We believe God places people where they are for a reason. Being found in Williston means receiving this place and its people as a gift, living life together in community, and giving thanks for the life we share here.
In the Bible, being found is always an act of grace. Jesus tells stories about lost things that matter—a sheep, a coin, a son—and each story ends with joy when what was lost is found (Luke 15). Long before we go looking for God, he comes looking for us.
To be found by Christ means forgiveness is given, identity is restored, and hope is secure—not because of what we do, but because of what Jesus has done. As the apostle Paul writes, our life and righteousness are found not in ourselves, but in Christ (Philippians 3:9). This is our identity.
In Luke 15, when what was lost is found, the story doesn’t end quietly—it ends with joy. Friends are called together, doors are opened, and a home becomes a place of celebration.
To be found together means being gathered into that joy. God brings people together not because they have life all figured out, but because they have been found by his grace. Church becomes a place to belong and rejoice in what God has done.
"I love talking to people and showing them how real God's love is for them. If you’re going through something, have questions about church or faith, or just want someone to talk with, I’d be glad to meet—over coffee or wherever you’re comfortable."
